I’m a dreamer, always imagining the next bucket-list goal. I’m also a mother, grounded by a nurturing family who do their very best to keep me tethered to reality.

This site is dedicated to my many fitness aspirations and how I pursue them as a middle-aged mom. There’s no single unifying theme, except that I’m not a natural athlete. I’m just a regular person with ordinary abilities, cursed with wildly ambitious dreams that sometimes border on fantasy.

Through this blog, I hope to document the journey—to observe, to record, and maybe even to inspire others to chase their own seemingly impossible goals.

Perhaps one day, someone will write of me what Alfred Lansing wrote of Ernest Shackleton.

"Shackleton's unwillingness to succumb to the demands of everyday life & his insatiable excitement w/ unrealistic ventures left him open to the accusation of being basically immature & irresponsible. & very possibly he was-by conventional standards."
